Jack Anderson, a wealthy citizen of our prominent town, invited me to examine and solve a case of a missing gold necklace, a very valuable family heritage.
He sounded deeply worried and very mad. The necklace was a gift from the town's mayor to his late mother! As a family they had been model citizens for almost a century. He heard I was the most efficient of all private investigators in our town, so he rushed to call me.
