3 Steps to Fundraising Success!
5 Minute Mystery wants to help make this the easiest fundraiser you've ever organized. Simply follow these three steps to start raising money!
1. Plan Your Fundraiser
- Set Your Goals. Establish a deadline (campaign end date) for your fundraising effort. Set a monetary goal and share it with your salespeople. Establish a number of emails that need to be sent out based on the monetary goal. Meet with your group to let them know the goals and action plan.
- Explain How the Fundraiser Works. Walk your group through the use of your personal web page and the 5 Minute Mystery program. Make sure they read through the instructions thoroughly.
- Use The Tools. Use the tools (sample letters, links and banners) we provide for you in the administration area to promote your fundraiser and share these tools with your group.
2. Develop an Action Plan
- Have each member of your organization carefully select emails from their address book. The email addresses should be carefully qualified to assure that the recipient is aware your organization and/or your cause. This is not intended to be a SPAM.
- Distribute the fundraising letters (provided in your fundraising administration area) via email or hard-copy letter to the members of the organization so that they can share them with their lists. They will cut and paste it into an email, customize the letter when appropriate, and forward the letter to their selected potential donors.
- Add the links and banners (provided in your fundraising administration area) to your website and share them with your members to add to their personal web pages, social networking profiles, and blogs.
3. Thank Your Supporters!
- After your deadline has passed, customize a thank you email and have your organization send it out to the same emails as the request letter. Every person on your list should get a thank you note, even if they didn’t contribute.
